Life in D.C.

Here are a few pictures from our first weeks in D.C. The first is a quaint walk we found through Georgetown along the old canal route. The city has preserved it and made it into a national park. It makes for a lovely Sunday afternoon walk. The middle group are pictures from our trip to Philadelphia last week. One of Mike's life goals was to do the Rocky run up the Philadelphia Art Museum steps (next up on the list is a high-speed chase). We both gave our renditions of Rocky's stance. Mike won. (I suppose Rocky did not wear loafers and a tweed jacket, but whatevs). Finally, our future home...although we're convinced we'll need more visible security than is now in place. Not to mention the addition of a few extra wings...

On living in a stake center

I think some of the pictures are getting squanched (it's a technical term, don't worry about it). But ah well. Here is a picture of our cozy little apartment in D.C. Yes, our bed pulls down from the wall. Quite efficient. The furniture and carpet are standard church issue, so it's a bit like living at the church.

We Submit

Mike and I have finally decided to join the blogging world, albeit reluctantly. It feels a little too cosmic writing an email to the universe. Regardless, here are some pictures from our wedding on June 22, 2007.
