Montana 2010: Day One

Over Labor Day, Mike, Jude, and I and Mike's brother Pete, his wife, Meagan, and their little guy, Tyler, all made the trek to Montana to enjoy some family time and some beauties of the area. The first day we spent the day in Glacier National Park. So beautiful! Here are a few pictures of our first day!

My Christmas Break: by Jude

We went to Grandma and Grandpa S's house for Christmas this year. Mom and I flew by ourselves there while dad was finishing up finals for law school. I screamed my head off. It was great.
Mom thought it would be funny to feed me lemon water. I was unsure.

And utimately unamused. Although I couldn't stop trying it...

I liked sitting with my Grandpa and cousin Zoe.

And I liked trying to eat her. And pull her hair. She's pretty cute. For a girl.

Here's my aunt Annie. We're like a head flower. Get it?

Here is cousin Jed eating waffles. He loves whipping cream, aka "whuppie". Mom won't let me have any yet. Meaniehead.

Dad let me be on his team.

I liked cuddling with Grandma in the morning.

Here are my aunts and uncles on Christmas day.

Zoe and I raced. It was pretty slow going given that niether of us crawl yet.

Luckily, I'm not afraid to play dirty.

I liked cuddling with dad.

And taking naps.

And baths.

Here is Zoe and I again. She's a cute flower.

I liked cooking with Grandma too.

Now were back home and mom keeps trying to feed me rice cereal. I hate it and spit it all over her. It's funny.

This last week, Mike, Jude and I packed it up and drove up to visit family in Montana. We had a fabulous time. Here are a few pictures from the trip...

Stewart Falls

This past weekend, Mike and I spent some time up at the Sundance resort as I put on a conference for work. We could not have picked a more glorious location or time of year. Green verdure covered the mountains and the balmy breeze cooled us (just enough) from the brilliant sun. During some free time, Mike and I decided to hike to Stewart Falls. Although I felt massive, we waddled along and Mike used his uber-calming hypno-birthing coaching techniques to get me up the tough parts ("breathe in....breathe out....one foot in front of the other.....goood, you're doing great..."). The trail was vitually empty our entire hike and we felt like we were alone in Shang-ri-la. It was a lovely thing. Here are a few pics...

A few more Hawaii pics...yes, it's taken me this long to download them...

Mike in front of the mountains they use for the LOST set...
Mike cruising in our Mustang convertible (even though we ordered a Ford Focus...bless the easy-going surfer dude who checked us in at midnight).
A beautiful beach on the North Shore...astonishingly less crowded than Waikiki
An amazing hike up to Manoa Falls. I was ready for a T-Rex to come charging through the thick canopy at any moment.
Mike and I on the top of Diamond Head. Do you SEE how BLUE that water is????
